How to List a Domain for Sale
If you own or control an eligible domain, you can list it on the ZillionKingHost Domain Marketplace and offer it to potential buyers.
Choose your preferred selling method, create your listing, and publish it.
How to Get Started
From your client area, go to:
Client Area → Domain Marketplace → Sell → Create Listing
You can also access the listing tools through your Seller Dashboard.
Choose How You Want to Sell
ZillionKingHost gives you three primary selling options:
Buy It Now
Set a fixed asking price that buyers can pay immediately.
This is ideal when you already know the amount you're willing to accept and want a straightforward sale.
Auction
Let buyers compete for your domain.
Set:
-
Starting price
-
Auction duration
-
Optional reserve price
The highest qualifying bid wins, provided any applicable reserve and marketplace conditions are satisfied.
Auctions can be particularly useful for domains that you believe have strong demand but whose final market value is difficult to predict.
Make an Offer
Don't display a fixed price and allow interested buyers to submit offers instead.
This option can work well for premium or higher-value domains where you prefer to negotiate with potential buyers.
Create a Strong Listing
A good listing can make a significant difference.
Explain what makes the domain valuable, who it could be suitable for, and any factual information that supports your asking price.
You can mention details such as:
-
Domain age
-
Meaning or pronunciation
-
Dictionary-word status
-
Recognizable abbreviation
-
Previous development or use
-
Relevant industry or business applications
Be accurate and avoid making claims about traffic, backlinks, revenue, search rankings, or other metrics unless you can substantiate them.
The description creates interest. The price closes the sale.
Set a Realistic Price
Set a price you're comfortable defending.
The marketplace may provide an estimated domain value based on characteristics of the domain and available comparable sales data.
Use this estimate as a reference point—not as a guaranteed market value.
The final selling price is determined by the selling method and the agreement between you and the buyer.
Publish Your Listing
For domains registered and managed through ZillionKingHost, eligible listings may become available on the marketplace once the listing requirements are completed.
If the domain is registered with another registrar, additional ownership and control verification may be required before the listing becomes publicly available.
Managing an Active Listing
While your listing has no active transaction, you may generally be able to:
-
Change the asking price
-
Pause the listing
-
Remove the listing
-
Update eligible listing information
However, these options may be restricted once there is an active transaction, accepted offer, or qualifying auction activity.
Once a buyer has committed to a purchase or an auction has received qualifying bids, the transaction may need to continue according to the marketplace rules.
This protects buyers and sellers and helps ensure that marketplace commitments are honored.
Keep Your Domain Renewed
Listing a domain for sale does not replace the need to renew it.
Continue paying the domain's renewal fees while it is listed.
Allowing a listed domain to expire can interrupt the sale, cause the listing to become unavailable, and potentially result in losing the domain altogether.
Keep your domain active until the sale is successfully completed.
